Together husband and wife duo Stephen and Peta co-founded and run Kings Framers, we are a bespoke picture framers and art consultancy in East Sussex.
Our framing consultancy for Kings Framers has led to interiors commissions in both homes and workplaces, and extended to garden designing, which Peta loves.
'My years in picture framing have taken me into many beautiful homes at all stages of decoration, and I am always delighted to be asked to give ideas, and to further my involvement outside of the frame.
I have been involved in some wonderful projects; sourcing, hanging and placing artwork, working alongside interior designers, or taking a lead role by making entire home concepts with all layout, furniture, colours and artwork choices.
Making the very best of a space to reflect the character of it's dweller and purpose of it's use is a wonderfully satisfying challenge. Bringing together interior and exterior in a harmonious whole.'

'Peta came and visited my house and it’s setting and shortly after produced a beautiful guide book as to how I might proceed. This proposal made suggestions of furniture pieces, colour schemes, fabric choices, framed mirrors and limited edition prints I might use. On commissioning, Peta assisted in locating furniture items, rugs and furnishings from around Lewes and Steve proceeded to frame those prints and mirrors I had chosen. A few weeks later, a van loaded with all these items arrived with Peta and Steve. With their help, my house was furnished, pictures and mirrors hung and a home with my personal mark created.'
