Lacquering

We work with sustainably sourced hardwoods ideal for fine lacquering. The raw timber is expertly prepared and finished with a high-performance spray lacquer in your choice of colour - or we can create a custom blend to match your interior scheme.
Lacquering can also be combined with gilded, silvered, or veneered elements for a truly bespoke finish.

Wood Stains & Waxes

Choose from a range of solid wood profiles including Oak, Ash, Walnut, and Maple. These can be customised with traditional stains, liming, or natural wax finishes to suit your décor and other furnishings.

Gilding & Silvering

We use only the finest precious metals:

• 23.5ct Yellow Gold

• 22.5ct Champagne Gold

• 6ct White Gold

Using traditional water gilding methods, the leaf is applied over coloured clay bole to allow the final finish to reflect subtle tones - such as red beneath gold or blue beneath silver - enhancing the depth and character of the frame.

Veneering

Hand-laid veneers are a time-honoured framing technique, ideal for classical works such as botanical prints or architectural drawings. We use highly figured veneers like Burr Oak and Burr Walnut to create rich, decorative frames - often paired with gilded slips or lacquered finishes for a contemporary interpretation.

Bespoke Mirrors

Available in standard or bevelled edges (4mm or 6mm thick), our custom mirrors can be framed using any moulding or finish from our full range - a perfect way to introduce light and dimension to interiors. Ideal for hallways, bathrooms, or feature walls.

Glazing

We use high-quality 2mm glass as standard, which blocks around 40% of UV light. For original works, photography, or anything light-sensitive, we recommend our anti-reflective, low-iron UV glass, available in three protection levels:

All provide exceptional clarity while safeguarding your artwork.

Mounting

We use conservation-grade mountboard as standard, available in a wide spectrum of colours. For museum-grade applications, we offer 100% cotton rag mount board in both 4-ply and 8-ply thicknesses - all fully archival and acid-free.

Canvas Stretching

If your artwork has been transported or removed from its stretcher, we can re-stretch the canvas using bespoke-made bars. This ensures your piece is tensioned correctly and ready to hang or frame.

Hand-Lettering

Custom hand-lettering is available in a variety of styles to enhance your mount or add personal details to your framed piece - ideal for certificates, poems, artwork titles or commemorative works.
