Contrasting Materials: Walnut and 23.5ct Gold Leaf
For Walter Sickert: Working Notes at Charleston, Lewes, we produced two bespoke frames defined by contrast.
Walnut offers a quiet, grounding presence - its depth and grain allowing the work to breathe. In counterpoint, 23.5ct gold leaf introduces a measured luminosity, catching and diffusing light with restraint.
Distinct in character, unified in intent: each frame is conceived as an extension of the artwork, where material, proportion, and finish sit in precise balance.
