Lacquering
We use a sustainably sourced hardwood which is tightly grained, so ideal for lacquering. The wood comes to us as a raw unfinished moulding.
Once the frame has been prepared, we use a durable high performance lacquer for a flawless sprayed finish.
Select from our wide selection of colours, or we can create a custom lacquer blend to seamlessly match your colour scheme.
Lacquers can be combined with Gilding, Silvering and Veneering to achieve your desired style.
Stains and Waxes
We offer a variety of solid wood profiles, including Oak, Ash, Walnut, and Maple. These profiles can be customised through staining or liming to match your furniture and interior design.

We offer a variety of solid wood profiles, including Oak, Ash, Walnut, and Maple. These profiles can be customised through staining or liming to match your furniture and interior design.
Gilding and Silvering
For gilding we use only the highest-grade materials: 24 carat Yellow Gold, 21 carat Rose Gold, and 6 carat White Gold.
We employ a traditional water gilding technique, which involves floating the leaf on the surface of a bole (on a layer of clay).
The bole can be manipulated to make the leaf reflect other colours (gold with red, silver with blue, etc) in accordance with your wishes.
Veneering
Hand-laid veneers are a centuries-old technique used by esteemed framers, creating a stunning complement to classical pieces like botanical prints or architectural drawings.
Our use of highly figured veneers, especially Burr Oak & Burr Walnut, creates a striking decorative effect.
These can be combined with hand-gilded slips, and can also be placed on top of lacquers to achieve a modern aesthetic.
Mirrors
Mirrors can be customised with flat or bevelled edges. We offer 4mm as the standard option, or 6mm for a wider 1 ½ inch bevel. These thicknesses ensure an accurate and clear reflection.
Mirrors can be framed using our full range of mouldings and finishes, perfectly tailored to your interior.
They're a wonderful asset in interiors, bringing light and reflection to maximise the sense of space.
Glass
We use a high quality 2mm picture framing glass as standard, which filters 40% of harmful UV rays.
For original artwork or anything that's going to be vulnerable to light damage, which can yellow paper, fade colour and detail, we highly recommend a crystal clear, low iron, anti reflective and UV protective glass. This specialist glass comes in a range of 3 varying degrees of UV protective, 70%, 92% and 99%.
All of these have the same level of brilliant clarity.
Mounting
We utilise conservation grade mount board as a standard, which comes in a diverse range of colours.
We also offer 100% Cotton rag museum grade mount board in 4 ply & 8 ply thickness.
Our materials are of the highest standards, meeting conservation and archival grade requirements.
Canvas Stretching

After travel or relocation, canvases may need to be taken off stretcher bars for transportation. We can measure your artwork, create bespoke stretcher bars to any size, and re-stretch the canvas for framing and displaying on your wall.
